Today was our annual homeschool group Christmas party, and it was a very fun time. Like most of these parties, it went by way too fast, and then there was the crazy cleanup. We made the most adorable angel ornaments out of oyster shells, some of the kids made snowflakes from coffee filters, the older kids had a gingerbread house decorating contest, and many kids were engaged in the dreidel game. There's nothing quite like gambling to keep everyone interested, and it was nice that the game can accommodate any number of people and being who slip in and out.
I think we're kind of on a break now, though what that means when you're always reading and making things and coming up with projects isn't really clear. I'm excited about hopefully being able to play some games, read some good books, and spend some time at home. We'll see how that works out!
